titleOfInvention Device for perfusion of liver for transplantation, and method of liver removal and liver transplantation using the device
abstract In this perfusion device (1) and perfusion method, two systems of perfusion fluid inflow pathways (30) and two systems of perfusion fluid outflow pathways (40) can be secured for the liver for transplantation (9). The perfusate inflow pathways (30) each have a perfusate inflow cannula (32) connected to the portal vein or the hepatic artery. The perfusate inflow pathway (40) has a perfusate outflow cannula (42) connected to the superior hepatic inferior vena cava or inferior hepatic inferior vena cava, respectively. Perfusate flows from the perfusate inflow cannula (32) into the liver (9) and perfusate in the liver (9) flows out from the perfusate outflow cannula (42). Thereby, when extracting or transplanting the liver (9), it is possible to significantly reduce the time for which the transplanted liver (9) is in the ischemic state. That is, damage to the liver for transplantation (9) can be suppressed. Thereby, the success rate of liver transplantation can be improved. Therefore, in organ transplantation surgery requiring a long time, it is possible to prevent deterioration of the organ for transplantation during the operation.
