abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a polyolefin microporous membrane capable of achieving a low shutdown temperature while keeping the air permeability resistance sufficiently low. In the present invention, at least one surface is partly or entirely formed by an assembly of a large number of curved leaf-like structures that are irregularly bonded to each other and are formed of a polyolefin resin or a polyolefin resin composition. It is a polyolefin microporous film whose surface roughness is 40 nm or more.
