titleOfInvention Anion adsorption method
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a method for further increasing the adsorption efficiency of phosphate ions in an adsorbent mainly composed of iron oxyhydroxide. In the method of the present invention, water containing anion containing the target anion and having a certain pH is passed through an adsorption device filled with an anion adsorbent mainly composed of iron oxyhydroxide to thereby remove the anion. The method of adsorbing is characterized in that the treatment is performed under the condition that the pH of the treated water at the breakthrough point is higher than the pH of the water before the treatment. The treatment is preferably performed under the condition that the pH of the treated water at the breakthrough point is 0.2 or more higher than the pH of the water before the treatment.
