It is to provide a photoreactive azide group-containing copolymer having sufficient biocompatibility for use in medical materials. Furthermore, it is to provide the photoreactive azide group-containing copolymer by a production method that can be stably supplied even on an industrial scale. By using a polymer reaction of a glycidyl group-containing copolymer and azidobenzoic acid, it was found that a copolymer having a photoreactive azide group can be synthesized by a method that can be stably supplied even on an industrial scale.
