abstract | Provided are a functional film manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a functional film having no performance deterioration when a film is manufactured with a coating solution containing a material whose performance is deteriorated by oxygen. In the method for producing a functional film, a coating solution having a dissolved oxygen concentration of 1000 ppm or less is supplied to a die coater 36 having a backup roller 44, and the die coater 36 is wound around a flexible support W that is wound around the backup roller 44 and conveyed. A decompression chamber 15 that covers the surface of the flexible support W on the upstream side of the die coater 36 with respect to the conveyance direction of the flexible support W. The amount of exhaust from the decompression chamber 15 is larger than the amount of inert gas supplied to the decompression chamber 15. |
