titleOfInvention | Method for sulphating glycosaminoglycans |
abstract | It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for sulfating glycosaminoglycan in a solution of a non-organic solvent. In the present invention, the sulfation reaction is carried out by allowing glycosaminoglycan and a sulfating agent to coexist in a strongly basic non-organic solvent solution. In the present invention, the strong basicity is preferably pH 11.5 or more. According to the present invention, for example, a glycosaminoglycan having heparin-like anticoagulant activity can be synthesized in one pot from N-acetylheparosan. Moreover, the sulfated glycosaminoglycan obtained by the present invention is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan having a novel disaccharide composition ratio in one embodiment, and is useful as a novel material. |
