abstract | To provide a method capable of easily and quickly detecting the mixing of a corrosion inhibitor for preventing sulfuric acid deterioration caused by microorganisms in sewer concrete structures, fume pipes or assembly manholes. A sulfur-oxidizing bacterium having sulfur oxidizing ability, a culture solution containing sulfur or a sulfur compound whose pH is adjusted to 1 to 4, and a sample expected to contain a corrosion inhibitor are mixed, and the obtained solution is mixed for a certain period of time. A simple method for detecting a corrosion inhibitor, characterized by detecting the presence or absence of a corrosion inhibitor by detecting a color change with a pH indicator after being left. |
