titleOfInvention | Method for producing negatively charged polymerized toner |
abstract | Disclosed is a method for producing a negatively chargeable polymerized toner that has an excellent balance between heat-resistant storage stability and low-temperature fixability, has excellent fine line reproducibility, and generates less fog. First-stage polymerization is carried out by suspending a first-stage polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a first-stage polymerizable monomer, a colorant and a charge control agent in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer. Suspension step for obtaining a suspension in which droplets of the polymerizable monomer composition are dispersed, a first stage polymerization step for performing suspension polymerization in the presence of a polymerization initiator using the suspension, and the first stage polymerization. A second-stage polymerization step of performing suspension polymerization by further adding a second-stage polymerizable monomer satisfying the following formula (1) when the polymerization conversion rate in the process becomes 5 to 95%. A method for producing a chargeable polymerization toner, wherein the charge control agent is obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon, (meth) acrylate, and a sulfonic acid group-containing (meth) acrylamide, and containing a sulfonic acid group. Copolymerization ratio of (meth) acrylamide is 0.8-4 Negatively charged polymers method for producing a toner, which is a 0 mass%. Tg 1 > Tg 2 formula (1) (In the above formula (1), Tg 1 represents the glass transition temperature (° C.) of the polymer obtained by polymerizing the first-stage polymerizable monomer, and Tg 2 represents the second-stage polymerizable monomer polymerized. The glass transition temperature (° C.) of each polymer is shown.) |
