abstract | The exit end 11b of the optical fiber 11 is vibrated by the scanning unit 70, and the object 100 is irradiated with light from the exit end face 11c of the optical fiber 11 to scan the object 100. The scanning unit 70 includes at least a pair of first direction coils 72a and 72c arranged to face each other in the first direction via the injection end portion 11b, and a permanent magnet 73 that is inserted through the injection end portion 11b. The scanning unit 70 forms a vibration node inside the permanent magnet 73 by feeding power to the first direction coils 72a and 72c, and vibrates the injection end portion 11b in the first direction in a secondary or higher order resonance mode.
