In the method of producing trans-bis (aminomethyl) cyclohexane, dicyanocyclohexane containing cis-dicyanocyclohexane is heated in the presence of a tar component obtained by distillation of dicyanocyclohexane to convert cis-dicyanocyclohexane to trans-dicyanocyclohexane. A trans isomerization step of isomerizing the product into a bisphenol and an aminomethylation step of contacting trans-dicyanocyclohexane obtained by the trans isomerization step with hydrogen to obtain trans-bis (aminomethyl) cyclohexane. |
