It is possible to easily obtain highly accurate information related to the occurrence of periodontal disease or its progress, and to provide this to a dentist. In the panoramic image photographing apparatus, a panoramic image is displayed on a monitor. This panoramic image is an image obtained by optimally focusing the entire dentition or an image obtained by optimally focusing a part of a region of interest. Both images are reconstructed from the frame data collected from the first scan. One or more teeth of the dentition on the panoramic image displayed on the monitor and the feature points (A1, A2, A3) of the support portion supporting the teeth are designated. The length based on the position of the designated feature points (A1, A2, A3) is measured on the panoramic image. Based on the measured length, the degree of loss of the alveolar bone (73) supporting the teeth is analyzed. This analysis information is passed to the dentist as periodontal disease check information. |
