abstract | An optically active 4-[(2-fluoro-1-indanone) -2-yl] methylpiperidine is obtained. (1,2,3,6-Tetrahydropyridin-4-yl) methyl 2-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1-oxo-1H-indene-2 represented by the following general formula (1) -Carboxylate is subjected to allylation reaction with intramolecular decarboxylation in the presence of a chiral ligand and a transition metal catalyst to give an optically active 2-[(1 , 2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin-4-yl) methyl] -2-fluoro-2,3-dihydroinden-1-one.
