abstract | Provided is a method for producing a dry product of ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, which can provide excellent stress crack resistance while reducing environmental load. Ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene are solution-polymerized by using a water-soluble chain transfer agent in at least one fluorine-containing organic solvent selected from the group consisting of perfluorocarbon, hydrofluorocarbon, hydrochlorofluorocarbon, and hydrofluoroether. An ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer having a polymerization step for obtaining a slurry in which fine particles of tetrafluoroethylene copolymer are dispersed, and an evaporation step for evaporating a volatile component from the slurry without bringing water into contact with the slurry. A method for producing a dried polymer. |
