abstract The secondary battery uses redox by radical sites. This secondary battery uses a copolymer having an equimolar amount of a (meth) acrylate unit having a nitroxyl radical site and a unit having a sulfonic acid site as an electrode active material, so that lithium ions reciprocate between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Charging / discharging is performed in the form (that is, rocking chair type). This secondary battery eliminates the amount of anion necessary for electrode doping during charging and discharging, reduces the amount of electrolyte, and has a large energy density.
