abstract |
An inexpensive metal matrix composite having a sufficient radiation absorbing function and excellent in strength, corrosion resistance, workability, impact resistance and thermal conductivity is provided. The tungsten particles have a double-sided clad structure in which a core material in which tungsten particles are dispersed in a matrix formed by pressurizing and integrating aluminum powder is sandwiched between a pair of skin materials made of an aluminum plate. Is a metal matrix composite containing 5 vol% to 70 vol% in the core material. A method for producing a metal matrix composite comprising filling a mixed powder of aluminum powder and tungsten particles constituting a matrix in an aluminum case and rolling the mixture. |
