abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an organosilicon compound for forming a novel organic thin film having improved physical properties. The organosilicon compound of the present invention has the formula (I) R— (CH 2 ) n —SiX 3 (I) (wherein R is an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and optionally substituted phenyl. X represents a hydroxyl group or a hydrolyzable group, and n represents an integer of any one of 17 to 24). In an organic solvent, the organic silicon compound and a compound capable of interacting with the organic silicon compound are mixed with water to prepare an organic thin film forming solution, and the organic thin film forming solution is brought into contact with the substrate. An organic thin film can be formed. |
