titleOfInvention Liquid crystal composition having negative dielectric anisotropy, and liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition
abstract A liquid crystal composition having a negative dielectric anisotropy and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided. The present invention relates to a liquid crystal composition having a negative dielectric anisotropy (Δε) that is useful as an electro-optical liquid crystal display material, and a liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition. The liquid crystal composition contains one or more compounds represented by formula (II), and further contains one or more compounds represented by formula (II). As a result, the liquid crystal composition of the present invention can reduce the rate of change of the operating voltage with respect to the temperature, which is effective in improving display quality in a low temperature range. Therefore, it is suitable for in-vehicle display devices and mobile applications that are assumed to be used in cold regions and outdoors.
