The present invention relates to a flavin-binding glucose dehydrogenase having the following properties (1) to (3): (1) Action: Shows glucose dehydrogenase activity in the presence of an electron acceptor; (2) Substrate specificity: D- Activity value for maltose, D-galactose, D-fructose, sorbitol, lactose and sucrose when the activity value for glucose is 100%; (3) Temperature characteristics: 100% activity value at 30 ° C. The range of activity values at 10 to 40 ° C. is 20 to 150%.
