titleOfInvention | New recombinant BCG vaccine |
abstract | A tuberculosis-preventing vaccine comprising a recombinant BCG bacterium capable of promoting cytokine production as an active ingredient. Cytokine production can be promoted by producing a recombinant BCG bacterium (rBCG-SOCS1dn) incorporating a vector that expresses an SOCS1 dominant negative mutant (mutation of 1 amino acid) that is an antagonist that acts antagonistically to the function of SOCS1. Recombinant BCG bacteria are provided. This recombinant BCG bacterium secretes the SOCS1 dominant negative mutant protein outside the microbial cell. |
