A nonaqueous electrolytic solution exhibiting excellent electrochemical characteristics in a wide temperature range and an electrochemical device using the same are disclosed. The nonaqueous electrolytic solution according to the present invention comprises at least a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte salt dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent, and further comprises at least one ester compound represented by the following general formula (I). : [Chemical 1] (In the formula, R 1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, or 6 to 12 carbon atoms.
