abstract Increase the conversion efficiency of silicon dioxide solar cells. Two conductive substrates are arranged with their conductive surfaces facing each other, at least one of the substrates is a transparent light incident side substrate, and silicon dioxide particles are formed on the substrate placed facing this substrate. The body is disposed, and an electrolyte is filled between the silicon dioxide particle molded body and the light incident side substrate. In the silicon dioxide solar cell adopting this configuration, the short-circuit current and the release voltage are significantly increased as compared with the silicon dioxide and electrolyte mixed. Further, as a modified type, a short circuit current and a release voltage are significantly increased by disposing a titanium dioxide solar cell or a dye-sensitized titanium dioxide solar cell on the light incident side substrate.
