abstract | While reducing the cost, it is possible to perform compatibility of the three types of optical discs of BD / DVD / CD with a common objective lens, while improving temperature characteristics and suppressing fluctuations in diffraction efficiency at the time of wavelength change. Provided are an optical pickup device having an objective lens that can be used, an optical information recording / reproducing device, and an objective lens suitable therefor. When the light beam incident on the objective lens has a longer wavelength, the axial chromatic aberration is changed in the positive direction so as to satisfy the expression (1), thereby passing through the first basic structure and the second basic structure.
