The present invention provides a negative electrode material for an electricity storage device that has a high capacity and excellent initial charge / discharge characteristics, is excellent in cycle characteristics and high rate characteristics, is excellent in safety, is low in environmental burden, and is low in cost. It aims at providing the negative electrode for electrical storage devices which uses this. The present invention is a negative electrode material for an electricity storage device containing a negative electrode active material containing an oxide material and a binder composed of a water-soluble polymer, and an anode for an electricity storage device using the same. And as a water-soluble polymer, a cellulose derivative or polyvinyl alcohol can be used. |
