abstract | Provided is an aromatic copolymer having a sulfonic acid group having high proton conductivity, low swelling in hot water and small shrinkage upon drying. An aromatic copolymer comprising a polymer segment (A) containing a structural unit represented by the following formula (1) and a polymer segment (B) containing a structural unit represented by the following formula (4).
