titleOfInvention | Methods for deuteration of sugars |
abstract | The present invention relates to a furanose in which a hydroxyl group is not bonded to a carbon atom bonded to an oxygen atom in a tetrahydrofuran ring or a tetrahydropyran ring, and at least one hydroxyl group is bonded to the other carbon atom. Alternatively, a saccharide containing pyranose as a constituent component is reacted with a deuterated solvent in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst and hydrogen gas, and hydrogen bonded to a carbon atom to which a hydroxyl group is directly bonded among the carbon atoms constituting the saccharide. It is an invention of a method for deuterating a saccharide, wherein the atoms are selectively substituted with deuterium atoms. |
