The stationary phase surface is coated with a polymer whose hydration power changes within a temperature range of 0 to 80 ° C., and the affinity between the stationary phase surface and the substance to be separated can be changed by shrinkage and swelling due to temperature change of the polymer chain. Pretreatment is performed using a pretreatment cartridge for substance separation filled with a stationary phase. By using this pretreatment cartridge for substance separation, it becomes possible to narrow down to solutions containing useful substances that are desired to be separated from the specimen by a simple operation. By using this pretreatment method, it becomes possible to separate useful substances without damage only by changing the temperature, and it becomes possible to efficiently perform the analysis operation or the fractionation operation performed thereafter. |
