A process for producing tetracyanoethylene comprising a step of dimerizing dihalogenomalononitrile to obtain tetracyanoethylene by heating, wherein the dimerization reaction is facilitated with radical species or by-produced halogen. This is a method for producing tetracyanoethylene, which is carried out in a solvent that does not react with. |
