abstract | As a result of intensive studies, the present inventors have modified the codon to be the least frequently used in mammals and reduced the expression of the translationally impaired dihydrofolate reductase gene cistron. We have succeeded in constructing an expression vector that enables high-level production of a foreign gene-derived protein in a mammalian host cell, comprising a gene cassette having a cloning site for incorporation of a foreign gene between highly stable polyadenylation signals. |
