Polyvinyl alcohol having a viscosity average degree of polymerization of 100 to 3000 and a ratio Mw / Mn of the weight average molecular weight Mw to the number average molecular weight Mn of 2.2 to 4.9 with respect to 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl chloride resin is 0. A polyvinyl chloride resin composition containing 0.005 to 5 parts by weight and 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a zinc compound. This provides a polyvinyl chloride resin composition that is excellent in thermal stability during molding and can provide a molded product with little coloration. |
