titleOfInvention | Method and specimen for detecting isoniazid sensitivity in Mycobacterium tuberculosis |
abstract | ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the new means for detecting more reliably whether the tubercle bacillus isoniazid (INH) sensitivity, ie, a tuberculosis bacillus, is an INH resistant bacterium is provided. The method for detecting isoniazid sensitivity in Mycobacterium tuberculosis of the present invention includes a step of obtaining the furA gene of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in a sample, and a step of detecting a mutation involved in isoniazid resistance in the obtained furA gene. The method of the present invention may include a step of detecting a mutation in the FabG1 gene of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, if necessary, and may be preferably combined with other known isoniazid sensitivity detection methods. |
