In the organic thin film transistor in which at least three terminals of a gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode, an insulator layer, and an organic semiconductor layer are provided on a substrate, and a source-drain current is controlled by applying a voltage to the gate electrode. In the organic thin film transistor and organic thin film transistor in which the semiconductor layer includes a specific organic compound having an aromatic hydrocarbon group or aromatic heterocyclic group and an acetylene structure at the center, light emission is obtained by using a current flowing between the source and the drain. An organic thin film light emitting transistor that controls light emission by applying a voltage to a gate electrode, and a compound suitable for the organic thin film light emitting transistor. |
