An object of the present invention is to provide an antibody having a low reactivity to amyloid precursor protein and a higher reactivity to amylospheroid than to amyloid β fibrils or amyloid β monomer protein. ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the reactivity with respect to amylospheroid is higher than the reactivity with respect to an amyloid precursor protein, and the antibody which has any one or more of the following characteristics is provided. (I) reactivity to amylospheroid is higher than reactivity to amyloid β fibril; (ii) reactivity to amylospheroid is higher than reactivity to amyloid β monomer protein; (iii) neuronal cell death by amylospheroid Has inhibitory activity against induction. |
