titleOfInvention | Oxygen scavenger and method for producing oxygen scavenger |
abstract | The oxygen scavenger according to the present invention is used to absorb and remove oxygen in the living environment atmosphere. The oxygen scavenger is composed of cerium oxide having a superlattice structure similar to that of fluorite and having reversible oxygen vacancies generated by forced extraction of oxygen. The cerium oxide is preferably obtained by reducing an oxygen-containing cerium salt or a hydrate thereof. Moreover, it is preferable that cerium oxide has an oxygen deficiency structure represented by CeO 2-x and x is 0.5 to 0.7. This cerium oxide is obtained by directly reducing and firing an oxygen-containing cerium salt or a hydrate thereof at 1000 ° C. or higher. |
