abstract | Provided is a production method capable of efficiently obtaining chemically and optically highly pure valaciclovir. Acyclovir represented by formula (2), and formula (1) (wherein R 1 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or an alkoxyl group, R 2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, and R 3 represents an alkyl group. The organic amine salt of N-protected valine represented by the formula (3) or the alkali metal salt or alkaline earth metal salt of N-protected valine is neutralized and subjected to a condensation reaction in the presence of a condensing agent. A method for producing valaciclovir represented by formula (4) or a salt thereof, comprising obtaining N-protected valaciclovir represented by (Each symbol in the formula has the same meaning as in the specification.) |
