titleOfInvention Polyester resin for metal plate coating and method for producing the same
abstract The present invention is a polyester resin for coating a metal plate comprising an acid component mainly composed of terephthalic acid, containing 1 to 15 mol% isophthalic acid and 2 to 10 mol% dimer acid, and an alcohol component mainly composed of ethylene glycol. The dimer acid contains 20 mol% or more of an aliphatic dimer acid, and the molar ratio of the aliphatic dimer acid to the alicyclic dimer acid is in the range of 1: 1 to 1: 5. It is possible to provide a polyester resin for coating a metal plate that is excellent in processing adhesion and also excellent in elution resistance.
