abstract | The present invention relates to a method for producing an optically active hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative which is an important intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, chemical products and the like. The production method of the present invention is characterized in that an optically active hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative is produced by performing a hydrogen transfer reduction reaction by allowing an optically active diamine complex to act on a ketocarboxylic acid or a salt thereof. According to the present invention, an industrially useful optically active hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative can be provided safely and efficiently. |
