titleOfInvention | Supercooling accelerator |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: The present inventor has conducted research to identify a causative substance in a process of studying a mechanism in which cellular water of a tree growing in a cold region maintains a liquid state at a low temperature. As a result, the present inventors have identified a supercooling promoting substance present in the tree. SOLUTION: The supercooling ability of identified flavonoid glycosides and synthesized similar flavonoid glycosides was tested, and a supercooling accelerator composed of these flavonoid glycosides was used for long-term treatment of bulk water at low temperatures. It was found that it can be stably cooled over the entire time. The aqueous solution containing the supercooling accelerator of the present invention is useful as a solution for storing biological materials at low temperatures. [Selection figure] None |
