abstract | For separation and purification of endohedral fullerenes, solvent washing with toluene was used to concentrate the endohedral fullerenes in the residue. However, since impurities other than the endohedral fullerenes cannot be sufficiently removed, efficient purification is performed. I couldn't. Using a solvent having high solubility of the endohedral fullerene, such as chloronaphthalene and tetralin, the endohedral fullerene was concentrated in the solvent to separate and purify the endohedral fullerene. The endohedral fullerenes separated and purified by solvent extraction have a cluster structure surrounded by empty fullerenes, and the endohedral fullerenes have high stability, and are useful materials that can be used in various fields such as medicine and electronics. |
