abstract | A dialkyl carbonate and a diol are produced by a reactive distillation system in which a cyclic carbonate and an aliphatic monohydric alcohol are used as raw materials, and the raw materials are continuously fed into a continuous multistage distillation column in which a catalyst is present, and the reaction and distillation are simultaneously performed in the column. It is to provide a concrete method capable of stably producing products with high selectivity and high productivity on an industrial scale of 2 tons and 1.3 tons or more per hour, respectively. There are many proposals for the production of dialkyl carbonates and diols by reactive distillation, but these are all small-scale and short-term laboratory levels, and are specific to enable mass production on an industrial scale. There was no disclosure of any method or apparatus. In the present invention, the dialkyl carbonate and the diol are used on an industrial scale of 2 tons and 1.3 tons or more per hour, respectively, and the selectivity is 95% or more, preferably 97% or more, more preferably 99%, respectively. With the above, a specific continuous multistage distillation column having a specific structure that can be stably produced for 1000 hours or more, preferably 3000 hours or more, more preferably 5000 hours or more, and a production method using the same are provided. |
