abstract |
The present inventors examined the effect of anti-IL-6 receptor antibody to improve the state of the infarct region in myocardial infarction and the effect of suppressing left ventricular remodeling after myocardial infarction. As a result, administration of anti-IL-6 receptor antibody significantly suppressed the increase in MPO activity in the myocardial infarction region. In addition, the expression of myocardial MCP-1 was suppressed in the myocardial infarction region and the non-infarction region. Furthermore, it was revealed that cardiac hypertrophy was suppressed by cardiac ultrasonography and histology. |
