titleOfInvention | Method for discriminating specificity of virus receptor sugar chain recognition |
abstract | Provided is a method for easily discriminating a receptor sugar chain recognition specificity of a virus with a simple device or instrument. In a method for discriminating a change in an infected host due to a receptor sugar chain recognition specificity of a virus and a virus mutation, the virus is brought into contact with a carrier having a sialo sugar chain-containing polymer immobilized on the surface, and the degree of binding thereof is measured. This is a method suitable for viral surveillance and the like because it can discriminate between the receptor sugar chain recognition specificity and the change of the infected host due to its mutation. |
