titleOfInvention | Genetic vaccine |
abstract | Summary A novel gene vaccine is disclosed that has a greater immunization effect than conventional gene vaccines. A gene vaccine for conferring immunity to an antigen comprises a recombinant vector that contains an antigen gene and a Toll-like receptor adapter molecule gene and can express the antigen gene and the adapter molecule gene in a cell. . When this gene vaccine is administered, an adapter molecule of a Toll-like receptor is produced in the same cell together with an antigen molecule to be immunized, and the adapter molecule exerts an adjuvant effect to enhance an immune response to the antigen. As a result, the effect of imparting immunity against a pathogen containing the antigen is enhanced. |
