titleOfInvention | Electrode electrolyte for polymer electrolyte fuel cell |
abstract | The present invention relates to an electrode electrolyte for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell and the like. A polymer electrolyte fuel cell is provided with a pair of electrodes on both sides of a proton conductive solid polymer electrolyte membrane, supplying a fuel gas such as pure hydrogen to one electrode and an oxidant such as air to the other electrode. The electrode is composed of an electrode electrolyte in which an electrode catalyst component such as platinum is dispersed. In the conventional polymer electrolyte fuel cell, a perfluoroalkylsulfonic acid polymer has been used as the electrode electrolyte. Although this material has excellent proton conductivity, it is very expensive and has a large amount of fluorine atoms in the molecule, so it has low flammability, such as platinum used for the electrode catalyst. There were problems such as difficulty in collection and reuse. In the present invention, the electrode electrolyte is an electrode electrolyte including a polymer having a structure in which a main chain has a polyphenylene structure and a side chain having a sulfonic acid group and a side chain having a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group. Thus, the above problem is solved. |
