A process for producing -3-cyclobutanecarboxylic acid is provided. A labeling precursor in which a protecting group for an amino group is a phthalimide group is used. By labeling this labeled precursor with a radiohalogen and performing deprotection, 1-amino-3-cyclobutanecarboxylic acid substituted with a syn-form radiohalogen can be selectively produced.
