titleOfInvention | Liquid developer |
abstract | In the liquid developer for electrophotography or electrostatic recording, the present invention minimizes adverse effects on the electrical resistance of the liquid developer and the charging characteristics of the toner particles, and improves the dispersibility of the pigment and the dispersion stability of the toner particles. An improved liquid developer is provided. The present invention provides a liquid developer obtained by dispersing pigment-encapsulated colored resin particles obtained by a wet pulverization method in an insulating hydrocarbon-based organic solvent using a dispersant, wherein the dispersant is a carbodiimide compound. A liquid developer characterized by being a polyester side chain-containing carbodiimide compound in which a polyester side chain is introduced into a molecule through a reaction with a carbodiimide group. |
