abstract |
The present invention provides a method for industrially stably producing 2,7-dimethylnaphthalene from a dimethylnaphthalene isomer mixture with high purity and high yield at a low production cost and with a simple structure. The method includes a step of bringing a raw material oil containing a mixture of 1,7-dimethylnaphthalene and 2,7-dimethylnaphthalene into contact with an L-type zeolite together with a developing solvent to adsorb 1,7-dimethylnaphthalene.
