abstract |
Optically active 3- (hydroxymethyl) morpholine derivatives useful as pharmaceutical intermediates can be easily produced from inexpensive and readily available raw materials, and a practical method for industrial production and these useful intermediates are provided. Optically active 3- (hydroxymethyl) morpholine is obtained by allowing 2-haloethanol or ethylene glycol to act on an easily available optically active glycidol derivative to form an optically active glycerin derivative, then sulfonylating the hydroxyl group, and further causing an amine to act on it. A derivative or a salt thereof is produced. |
