abstract The translucent display panel includes a plurality of translucent control regions (5, 10) arranged in an array, and a non-transparent boundary region (2, 3) existing around each translucent control region. And a microlens array including a plurality of microlenses (20b) arranged in an array corresponding to the plurality of translucent control areas, each microlens having a non-circumference around the corresponding translucent control area. The microlens array uses a translucent diamond-like carbon (DLC) film (20a) to collect incident light that is going to go straight to the translucent boundary region into the corresponding translucent control region. The DLC film includes a region where the refractive index is modulated corresponding to each microlens, and produces a light condensing effect when the light beam passes through the region where the refractive index is modulated.
