abstract The sample of the cell that is inserted in the optical system is irradiated with light from the light source. Transmitted light passing through the cell is detected. Reference side transmitted light inserted in the optical system is detected. This is an optical detection method in which these detection signals are adjusted and the output of the detector is calculated based on the detection signals. The detection signals on the sample side and the reference side are adjusted together corresponding to the optimum output level of the detector. The amount of change in the detection signal ratio between the sample side and the reference side constituting the detector output is suppressed, and the baseline noise level is reduced.
