In particular, the RNA sequence portion encoding NS3 to NS4, NS5A, NS5B protein of hepatitis C virus genomic RNA is changed to the RNA partial sequence encoding NS3, NS4, NS5A and NS5B proteins of JFH1 strain represented by SEQ ID NO: 1. The present invention relates to a modified hepatitis C virus genomic RNA that has acquired autonomous replication ability by substitution.
